In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the Nvidia GeForce 710M are significantly better than the Intel HD i7 3610QM.

The GeForce 710M was released less than a year after the HD i7 3610QM, and so they are likely to have similar driver support for optimizing performance when running the latest games.

The GeForce 710M has 1024 MB video memory, but the HD i7 3610QM does not have an entry, so the two GPUs cannot be reliably compared in this area.

The GeForce 710M has 96 Shader Processing Units and the HD i7 3610QM has 16. However, the actual shader performance of the GeForce 710M is 149 and the actual shader performance of the HD i7 3610QM is 51. The GeForce 710M having 98 better shader performance and an altogether better performance when taking into account other relevant data means that the GeForce 710M delivers a marginally smoother and more efficient experience when processing graphical data than the HD i7 3610QM.

The GeForce 710M requires 15 Watts to run but there is no entry for the HD i7 3610QM.

GPU Mini Review

Mini ReviewOverview
GeForce 710M is a entry-level Mobile Graphics Card based on the second revision of the Fermi Architecture.

Architecture
The Fermi Architecture is manufactured with a 40nm Technology and uses a technique known as Hot Clocking: The Shaders are clocked twice as fast as the Central Unit. While this leads to a reasonable performance boost, it causes enormous amounts of energy dissipation, leading, ultimately, to a significantly higher operating temperature.
Fermi is also the first GPU architecture with fully cached memory access which increases memory performance.

GPU
It equips a GPU Codenamed GF117-N14M-GL which has 2 Stream Multiprocessors activated and thus offers 96 Shader Processing Units, 16 TMUs and 8 ROPs. The Central Unit is clocked at 775MHz. Additionally, GF117 is built using a 28nm technology.

Memory
The GPU accesses a 1GB frame buffer of DDR3, through a 64-bit memory interface. The size of the frame buffer is exaggerated and no way benefits the GPU. The Memory Clock Operates at 900MHz.

Features
DirectX 11.0 Support (11.0 Hardware Default) and support for Optimus, 3D Vision Surround, PhysX, Realtime Raytracing and other technologies

Power Consumption
With a rated board TDP of 15W, it is suited for small laptops.

Performance
GeForce GT 710M is essentially a fast GeForce GT 620M.
Gaming benchmarks indicate its performance is slightly below the older GeForce GT 540M.

System Suggestions
We recommend a modest processor (Intel Core i3 Mobile) and 4GB of RAM for a system with GeForce 710M.
HD i7 3610QM is a specific version of the Intel HD Graphics 4000 that comes with the CPU 'Core i7-3610QM 4-Core 2.3GHz'.
The new features include DirectX 11 and Tessellation support though using them might not be a very good idea since even strong fast-middle-class GPUs struggle with them.
The core-clock is initially set at 650MHz and will go to up to 1100MHz, if necessary.
The performance depends a lot on the driver support and benchmarks indicate that the most demanding games, such as Metro 2033 can only be played at the lowest settings. Deus Ex 3, for example, ran fine at high settings but other demanding games such as Crysis 2 and Batman: Arkham City only ran fluently at medium settings.
