Can I run it ? how much FPS if I can ?
I'm not sure you will be able to run it, I think you can't mainly because of your GPU.
Please give feedback if you try!
Good luck with that.
I've got good news for you I think….I couldn't believe what I saw:
(Quickly) tested the demo on my cousin's PC and the results are as follows:
System:
2GB DDR2 533(MT/s) RAM
Intel Pentium D 820 2.8 GHz
Geforce 7300LE (totally outbalances his system!!!) →
@ 1680 x 1050 (yeah, his native resolution..♫) →10FPS avg
@ 800 x 600 (lowest possible, no other graphics settings) → 43FPS! avg
This is almost unbelievable to me, including the fact the game looks still nice at that resolution!
Note: no tests @ the most crowdy places + we shouldn't forget the 3D Boss Battles…. @F0XITO: I can imagine your opinion, based on the requirements, but I think his system will do a good job; we'll see! ;)
Well I'm amazed! Great to hear it will run there!
and sorry for misinforming, as Mark says, I was basing myself upon reqs.
Yeah, so much greatness!
Btw: you're not misinforming and you might still be right, based on the reqs; maybe the 7300 LE is special :P
PS Always nice to see more than a "Yes" or "No" from members, so appreciate what you're doing!
Wow thanks guys.
I hope you're convinced! At least I think you don't have to worry ;)
Have fun!
this game has direct x 10 features as shadow model 4.0 is direct x 10 i wonder what kind of features have been put in i do want this game though i havent finished orgians and i need to save but when its on special hopefully we have spring sales i might pick it up :)
Following is a part of what I said below: "….I read something about an improved UbiArt Engine with better lighthing, rendering system and one that can handle 3D elements (3D boss battles)….This game looks even more delicious, believe me :)
ah ok cool as :) i still play origans on my pc i havent finished it but im up to the 2nd world
Ok! Finished it once, played it for the 2nd time already :D Good luck and have fun with the rest. Definitely worth it!
Wow dude you were able to get 60+ fps with this rig???
Never tried Rayman Origins. Maybe I will give this a try? Can anyone who tried Rayman Origins tell me was the gameplay as good and fun as it seemed to be? :D
2 GB
1280 x 1024
it's one of the best games i have ever played..finished it twice
Not the best within the Rayman series (but I'm a die-hard fan and there are many…..), but it sure is one of my top games!
It really is fun: the soundtracks, the environment + creatures, the gameplay etc. You can also have very good control over your characters, but the game can be a bitch if you aren't experienced enough with platformers; f.e. there are many challenges and you can die very fast (hit something once or twice)….It was a very relaxing game to me! Even though I experienced difficulties, I couldn't get frustrated (finished Super Meat Boy without frustration to…) :D
I recommend playing this @ 60FPS and the rig you have shouldn't be a problem :P
The last Rayman game I have played was Rayman Revolutions on PS2 so its been a while sence I have played a Rayman game :D But thanks for the info. Will def buy the game soon :D
Ah, Rayman Revolutions…almost Rayman 2: The Great Escape; super awesome game! Lost the 'play count'….Rayman Origins is completeley different in comparison to RR, but I'm sure you'll like it or love it in case you enjoyed playing Revolutions ;) At least try the demo :)
You're welcome!
Ye. I also played the classic Rayman on PS1 back in the day :D
I love to hear that! I think the classic Rayman is underestimated, but also not known by a lot of people due to the year of release = 1995! It seriously is my number 1 game ever played and it also was one of my first games ever played :D
Ye. Seriously the classic Rayman is one of the best games of PS1 yet I felt is was so underrated. I felt it was left behind Crash Bandicoot. Dont get me wrong I also love Crash games from PS1 time from the bottom of my heart. I still have them in my shelf and play them sometimes :D
I can imagine, dude! I saw video material of the series, looks awesome! I think I forgot about those games, knowing it's console stuff..but am I right? Hasn't there maybe been one game of that series been released for PC? That would be cool :D
Thanks for mentioning!
I dont think there has been any Crash games on PC? Im not sure about the newer ones but at least the old ones :D As for Raymam, If I remember right the classic Rayman is avaible on PC and Rayman 2 The Great Escape also. I actualy remember buying Rayman 2 when it came out and was so pissed of that our PC could not even run it xD
Haven't checked it because I thought the same…..
Both Rayman and The Great Escape have PC releases ;) Haha, couldn't run it flawless enough? Well, I couldn't run Rayman 3 at all when I was 14 back in 2003….:P
Haha. I was like 7 when The Great Escape came out on PC and it seemed so coool that I had to buy it. And then as I said was pissed becouse our old PC could not run it :D
Thing you've experienced is exactly what happens too most of the children: children using their pocket money and/or fathers who buy games…blind for system requirements and/or too noobish to understand one game might not run on a kid's PC ;/ Don't know if that was the game for you, but at least I know it's something that can even frustrate a big baby :D
Haha yeah :D Back then we had PS1 and an old PC :D We still had some games on PC. Cant remember most but I do remember a Star Wars pilot game witch I played a lot :D And I did not know a dam thing about PCs back then :D
But phew, I feel you could run that Star Wars game…wasn't it the imo great Pod Racer? :D
Actualy no :D I did not even know there was a Pod Racer Star Wars game out there! Would have surely loved that one :D The game I ment was like flying game. You had to fly different vihicles and complete certain objectives like blowing up defence towers and so on. Never made it far in the game. I just remember flying threw the stage :D Aah great childhood memories ɛ :D
A little update. I found the game on youtube :D And rolfed my ass of :DD It was called Star Wars Rogue Squadron :D
Ah ok…I can imagine those good memories; doesn't look so bad, but it does look funny :D Which of the series was it actually? Part III?
PS Ending with another "Ah"..let's nog get too off-topic :P Nice conversation though!
Haha yeah :D I think we got a liiiitle side tracked :D So lets end it with this xD
so i should get more RAM or…?
No, no, you're perfectly fine with your amount and RAM speed that's no problem for your i7! You will have some advantages in comparison with my RAM configuration ;)
Would I be able to run this game? The demo's kinda slow.
Hmm, bummer your system (like many other laptop users) doesn't have much graphics potential; your RAM config should be fine (speed is either 1066 or 1333MT/s) and so is your hyper-threaded dual core!
How well could you run Rayman Origins? This max. requires a 5 - 10% better system…
Since there aren't any graphics options aside configuring the resolution, maybe your can manage to run the game @ 30FPS + 1024 x 768? Not recommended for such a beauty product!
PS I'm very excited about this game, but prefer to skip the demo and go FULL once it has been released. I only wanted to see if I could run it well and the results are the same (not too accurately said that fast…) as with RO → 1440 x 900 (native) @ 60FPS stable!
Please play this game on at least a low-end - mid-range PC like me :) Pure bliss!
Eventually, let me help you in case you want to upgrade…..
Btw: nice show, Ren & Stimpy ;)
Thanks :)
I was able to run Origins with little-to-no-lag. So….What do you think?
Ok, little to 0%-lag @ 30FPS and your native resolution? I'd say max. 5 - 10% worse + I read something about an improved UbiArt Engine with better lighthing, rendering system and one that can handle 3D elements (3D boss battles), so it should be kinda like that….except for the fact that your system might suffer during 3D boss battles ;/
http://postimg.org/image/50cc8iqaf/
Ok, wow, Caste Rock @ 43FPS average (max. 49?) on a 1366 x 768 resolution? That's what I think and I think your image has been cropped too and is converted to .jpg, right? Isn't that unbelievable? :D In case I'm right about what I'm thinking, I have to conclude you've got advantages with fast RAM and a hyper-threaded dual core to carry the 'GPU jobs' from CPU → GPU in a more efficient way :) Cool! Love the feedback of yours!
Thanks for all your help, lowering the resolution gave the game a big speed up :)
Very welcome!
So, not @ 1366 x 768, but 1024 x 768? :)
PS If I don't make sense to you, just say ;) We won't get angry here in comparison to other forums/sites :P
The trailer looks pretty much like bit trip runner.
Thanks for telling me about that game; looks interesting :)
Haha you are welcome. It's a pretty nice game, Bit trip is a series of games now, there's:
Bit. Trip Beat
Bit. Trip Core
Bit. Trip Void
Bit. Trip Runner
Bit. Trip Fate
Bit. Trip Flux
and lately Bit. Trip Presents Runner 2: Legend of Rhythm Alien.
most of those are pretty inexpensive and enjoyable but Runner 1 and 2 are the most known ones.
And thanks for the info! I see it's a series now; will definitely try Runner 1 then :D
Btw: you're a big fan of platformers? latest I played was the great Limbo, next up is The Cave; tried any of these games?
Sure, totally enjoyed Limbo with those creepy big spiders :P but I missed The Cave, I will give it a try for sure, thanks for the info :D
Alright! Yeah, Limbo was a mysterious game, interesting till the end :)
And no problem; we spread the gaming ♥ here!
Didn't even know this was coming to PC till I saw the banner on Steam. I've been playing Origins lately, and man oh man is it good! Wasn't that interested in Legends before but will definitely get it at some point now. Also looks like I can run it at max, which is awesome ^_^
Me neither; a total surprise :D
Man, I've played the demo at my cousin's house (WiiU) already and it's amazing!!
Don't worry about your rig too much ;)
Awesome this game will be released for PC! What a surprise, especially when you read things about special keys/controls and such :D
No WiiU for me :P
what settings for me?
high-max probably.
I'd say the same with that resolution ;)
16 GB
1920 x 1080
are these requirements joke? lol,4 gb of ram, dual core…
These 2D Platformers (+ Rayman Origings) don't require much power and even though they weren't initially released for PC, at least RO was pretty well optimized! :)
3GB should be enough too….
CPU
Core i7-8750H 6-Core 2.2GHz
IntelGPU
GeForce GTX 1660 Ti 6GB Mobile
NvidiaRAM
16 GB
Resolution
1920 x 1080
Not happy this game has U Play. The demo is amazing, though. This is even better than Origins.
