that makes sense. Though the difference in FPS seems exponential almost since in my case i got an almost stable 60fps at medium in the starting sequence(except for the bosses) but as soon as i entered the "outside" areas my framerate tanked to 12fps just from running around. Then when i switched to low-settings and lowered the resolution to the minimum i still had 12FPS when fighting outside.

This game came with my new gpu like others too. Recommended gpu on the AMD side paired with an i5-9600K got about 80-100+ fps after almost 2 hours of play.
Don't believe those recommended specs. A guy on YT that I follow was getting 90-100 FPS on Epic settings and he only has a laptop with an i7-9750H and a 1660ti. You don't need a beast desktop. However, the game does need some patching due to frame drops during combat and the reviews for Godfall haven't been stellar. Also, it's an EGS exclusive.

The stuttering makes it completely unplayable though… especially since a lot of the combat revolves around parrying or dodging in the nick of time. Granted my setup might be a little weaker than that Youtuber you follow, but I barely get 50 fps on low graphics and that's when the game isn't stuttering up a storm because I turned the camera 2 degrees to the right or something..
It's unfinished

To clarify; By stuttering i don't mean some frames dropping for 2 or 3 seconds. We're talking through the majority of any movement here. I might get 4 or 5 clean smooth attack animations in a fight if i'm lucky, but then it all goes to and the framerate tanks. Even just running around in the overworld and exploring consistently drops frames like no tomorrow.
Joke game made by jokers
Yeah, they’ll need to fix that stuttering issue but it won’t change the fact that Godfall isn’t anything special and/or that it’s only available at the EGS. This YTer has a laptop similar to your desktop in regards to power, by the way. Godfall might be “better optimized” on nVidia cards than on AMD.

That is ridiculous considering they straight up gave the game away with AMD cards (Specifically the model of card that i bought came with this unplayable mess) and the game slaps you in the face with a meaty "Powered by AMD" each time you start it up.

I voted yes because…I don't know for sure how the 6700k compares to the 8700. I do remember that Intel has basically improved their cores incrementally. I feel like everything else will make since I know that the 6700k is a beast and
Can I run it on medium or low?

This game has me quite intrigued.
I managed to get a coupon for it when I snagged my GPU so I'm hoping I'll at least be able to enjoy it on a smooth medium setting.

Godfall was included with my GPU, but apparently 4GB of VRAM won't be enough for even minimum reqs ?
That is… odd…

Yep… it's unplayable
Crazy frame drops even on tweaked medium-low with my setup. What a sick joke to give free copies of a game to people that can't play it.

That is unfortunate bro, this game is really good
That is bonkers. Hopefully there will be a work around for this.

I'd like to clarify my comments from an earlier post. Apparently the frame rate takes a big dip once you start fighting outside. The video I saw was at the beginning of the game where you're fighting inside a castle. A new video from the same YTer has him fighting in an open area and the frame rate dips from the 90-100 range to 30-35 on Epic. He has to lower the settings to Medium to get above 60+ again on his laptop. I guess you'll need that monster rig to get above 60FPS on Epic in open areas.
