As new gaming components are released for PC we will continue to review prices here each day and consider swapping in and out better components.

This title falls in the Sim, Sport, Racing genre category, which itself can influence the type of hardware we might consider for this build. We know that it was built on the ego platform by the developers. Something we sometimes dont consider is that the game would be developed in 2019 and therefore on hardware from around that period of time. We can also assume that hardware from around that period would be part of the targeted hardware, in terms of performance, by the developers, as they provide graphical options for the hardware capabilities available. It is currently sat on our most demanding games list at 82, making it one of our more demanding titles on the site right now. Also it is falling outside of our most popular games list at the moment. With this info in hand to help guide our hardware build choices we will now select today’s best priced components that meet these game characteristics.

Choosing A Graphics Card For Our 1080p F1 2019 PC Build

Obviously one of the most important components for this build is the graphics card. We can take a look at the best price to performance hardware right now to help deliver a system that can run F1 2019 at 1080p ultra settings. Looking through today’s graphics card prices we can see that the Radeon RX 5700 Sapphire 8GB is today’s best GPU option for this computer and it will work great at this screen resolution. Its price right now is $308.14, and running our hardware tests against that price shows this to be the cheapest but best performer for Formula 1 2019. As a point of interest this graphics card has increased its price by $10.62 over the past two weeks. Checking our records our lowest tracked price for this card was on 19th Dec 2019, which had it priced at $297.52.

Selecting The Right F1 2019 1080p Motherboard and CPU

Finding a cpu is largely dependent on the right motherboard. The CPU we are going to choose has the Socket AM4 socket type. So we have found the best priced and well featured mobo in the GIGABYTE GA-A320M mATX AM4. The Ryzen 7 2700X processor will then fit in and accompany our Radeon RX 5700 Sapphire 8GB selection nicely, with the cpu being at a great price point, costing $220. Giving us a bit more of an insight we saw this processor being sold for a low price of $99, which was on 7th Jul 2020.

At $62.99 the GIGABYTE GA-A320M mATX AM4 motherboard muscles its feature rich chipboard into today’s F1 2019 PC build. To provide a motherboard pricing benchmark the lowest recorded price we have for the GIGABYTE GA-A320M mATX AM4 is $53.99 on 25th Jun 2020.

How To Choose The Best RAM For F1 2019 At The Right Price

Our PC needs some well placed system memory to support our chosen CPU and GPU selections. As we are looking to achieve the 1080p ultra frame rates the Silicon Power 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 2400MHz is currently priced at $48.99, which is among the better priced RAM today. This RAM was recorded at the lowest price of $53.99, and this was on 30th Oct 2020.

PC Performance Review at 1080p Ultra Settings on F1 2019

So now that our core components are all in place we would expect to see around 132 FPS in F1 2019 at 1080p resolution, on Ultra settings. Make some adjustments to the graphics options and you could boost this up to 174 FPS for High graphics settings.

Other Popular Game 1080p Ultra Custom PC Builds

Having the option of larger screen resolutions in the future is a handy thing to consider. This gaming PC setup, running Formula 1 2019 at 1440p would be pulling in about 133 FPS at High. We would expect that to drop again to 101 if you were playing it at 1440p Ultra.

How this build performs for other popular games

While we have put a great PC build together for F1 2019 it’s important to understand how it handles some of the more popular games of today at 1080p. With this PC build we can expect that the popular game FIFA 21 will get 200+FPS on Ultra settings raising to 200+FPS on High. On the other hand we see that Genshin Impact returns 74FPS on Ultra and 103FPS when lowered to High. Lastly Grand Theft Auto VI may see 50 FPS running at Ultra, and 70 on High graphics settings.

An Alternative F1 2019 Graphics Card Option for 1080p

Perhaps you are after a Nvidia graphics card rather than the one we have added to this build. If so we would suggest the similar performing GeForce RTX 2060 Gigabyte Windforce OC 6GB, which has a 5% worse performance variation, but is still a suitable video card choice for this game. We have also considered the best value for performance based on today’s prices, with it costing $299.99 at the moment.
