This topic will teach how to submit new content as well as give you some pointers on the submissions.

1 - How do I submit a trailer?
2 - How do I add mods/patches?
3 - How do I submit a review/preview?
4 - How do I submit a new game?
5 - How do I submit hardware changes?
6 - ...

Question 1: How do I submit a trailer?
Answer: Please note that you need rank 5 or higher to have this option available. Browse for the game you want to submit here. After you select the game, you will be taken to a page that contains numerous options in the menu bar (e.g Game Details, Game Articles, Discuss, etc). The last option is "All Trailers". Select this option. You are now on the add trailer section of the game you selected. If you are at least Rank 5, you will have the "ADD NEW TRAILER" button right beneath the menu bar. Press it and a small menu will pop up. On the "Trailer Title" you are to either copy the name of the youtube link, or write one yourself, if the title isn't suitable. On the "Trailer Code" you are to add the embed youtube code, not the youtube link. Don't know where the embed code is? On the youtube page of the video, you will notice the option "Share". Press it and the "Embed" option shows. Copy whatever is written there to the "Trailer Code" and you're done.
- Do not add trailers that have already been added. Do not add trailers from competitors like IGN or gamespot. Avoid trailers that contain google ads. Please add only youtube trailers.

Question 2: How do I add mods/patches?
Answer: Please note that you need rank 3 or higher to have this option available. Browse for the game you want to submit here. After you select the game, you will be taken to a page that contains numerous options in the menu bar (e.g Game Details, Game Articles, Discuss, etc). Select the forth option: Mods & Patches. You are now on the Mods & Patches section. You need to at least enter the name of the mod/patch, the link and a small description. You also need to select the type of your submission. Be sure to indicate if a previous patch is needed to install the one you are going to submit. Your submission will be automatically approved.
- Please make sure you don't add mods/patches that are already added. Make also sure the link you provided isn't broken.

Question 3: How do I submit a review/preview
Answer: Please note that you need rank 3 or higher to have this option available. See the menu bar that contains numerous options, such as Gamer Profile, Premium, Invite buddies, etc? The 5th option is "Submit a Review" - press it. You are now on a screen that contains a list of previews/reviews, if you have submitted any, and a list that contains all the games on GD - the first list. Select the game you want to review/preview and select whether you want to preview it or review it. Obviously, previews make only sense for games yet to be released and reviews for games already released. If you select review, here are a few tips:
- Starting with a small introduction about the game will be good for people who never heard about the game you're reviewing.
- Loved the game? Mention what you loved the most about the game, what makes it different from others of the same genre out there.
- Hated the game? Mention what dragged you away from it. Bad controls? Horrible story? Too short? Buggy?
- Avoid using sentences like "The game sucks" or "it's awesome, buy it". You need to explain why the game is "awesome" or why it "sucks".
- You may include 2 images to enrich your review!
- Your English isn't top notch? Why not write your review on text editors, such as Microsoft Word and then copy it to GD?
- Do not over swear or use any bad language. Do not submit someone Else's work. Do not submit unrelated images or that contain watermarks from competitors.
- Do Review!

If you select preview, here are a few tips:
- If there's a prequel, talk about it.
- Be sure to include at least one screenshot.
- Talk about you expect/what fans expect of the game.
- Your English isn't top notch? Why not write your preview on text editors, such as Microsoft Word and then copy it to GD?
- Do not submit some Else's work. Do not submit untrue content. Do not over swear or use any bad language. Do not submit unrelated images or that contain watermarks from competitors.
- Do Preview!

Question 4: How do I submit a new game?
Answer: Please note that you need rank 3 or higher to have this option available. See the menu bar that contains numerous options, such as Gamer Profile, Premium, Invite buddies, etc? The 6th option is "Submit a Game" - press it. You are now on the "Submit a Game" screen. I have decided to split the explanations into steps. Steps red colored cannot be reversed after the game is submitted for approval.

Step 1: Check the List of games GD currently has. If the game you want to submit isn't there, proceed to step 2, else don't submit it.
Step 2: Write the game title. Make sure you don't mess it up or you'll have to submit it all over again.
Step 3: Input the release date. If you don't know it or it's yet to be announced or you only know the month/year, don't write anything.
Step 4: Choose a suitable image. This should be the box-shot of the game but if you can't find it, then you can submit other game related images. The image has to be between 10k and 35k and cannot have any watermarks (from other websites on it). After the game is submitted only GD admins can change the image so make sure you don't mess up here either.
Step 5: Choose the genre of the game.
Step 6: Copy the gamesite link. If the game you're submitting does not have a homesite, than copy either the developer's or the publisher's link. Please note that this link needs to lead to the game itself and not just the develop/pub website. For example, if you were to submit Assassin's Creed Brotherhood you would input "http://www.ubi.com/UK/Games/Info.aspx?pId=8867" and not just "http://www.ubi.com/". If you can't find none of the above, input the Wikipedia's link. If you can't find it either, then don't submit the game. You cannot add another gaming site as the homesite or sites where you can buy the games, unless they are the developers/publishers.
Step 7, 8, 9: Write the game's Wikipedia link, demo link and forum link, if available - these are optional.
Step 10: Choose the publisher/developer from the lists. If you can't find them, leave them as unknown and contact one of the admins so they can be added to the lists.
Step 11: Either paste the game description found in the homesite source you provided or write one yourself. Be sure to indicate where you took it from.
Step 12: Tick the boxes (e.g. DLC, Multiplayer, etc) if they apply to the game you are submitting.

The game will now go for approval. You need 10 approval points for it to be submitted. The higher the rank of who approves, the more Approval Points. If someone suspends the game (for whatever reason) no one else can approve it until you fix whatever issue was pointed out.

How do I submit hardware changes?
Answer: Please note that you need rank 4 or higher to have this option available. You can't submit new hardware yet. That feature is yet to be developed, what you can do is edit data of hardware already submitted. You can edit everything, from the release date, to the clock rate and maximum power, but please make sure you know what you're doing. You can check the blue question marks for information about each slot. Once submitted, it will go for approval and it needs 5 approval points to be approved.

I believe you have to be an Initiate to add an image and a link to your "link/clan/blog"etc profile.
