In terms of overall gaming performance, the AMD Opteron 1222 SE is noticeably better than the AMD Opteron 2210 HE when it comes to running the latest games. This also means it will be less likely to bottleneck more powerful GPUs, allowing them to achieve more of their gaming performance potential.

The Opteron 2210 HE was released less than a year after the Opteron 1222 SE, and so they are likely to have similar levels of support, and similarly optimized performance when running the latest games.

The Opteron 2210 HE and the Opteron 1222 SE both have 2 cores, and so are quite likely to struggle with the latest games, or at least bottleneck high-end graphics cards when running them. The Opteron 2210 HE and the Opteron 1222 SE have the same L2 cache size, and neither CPU appears to have an L3 cache. They even have the same L1 cache size, so are identical in terms of cache size.

The System Bus Speed is important for providing higher bandwidth, and with higher bandwidth the system has the capacity to move more data over a certain time period than it would with lower bandwidth.

The Opteron 2210 HE and the Opteron 1222 SE both have System Bus Speeds of 1000 MHz, and so have the same limits when it comes to the size of the data being processed at once.

The Opteron 2210 HE has a 57 Watt lower Maximum TDP than the Opteron 1222 SE (though they were created with the same size 90 nm manufacturing technology). What this means is the Opteron 2210 HE will consume significantly less power and consequently produce less heat, enabling more prolonged computational tasks with fewer adverse effects. This will lower your yearly electricity bill significantly, as well as prevent you from having to invest in extra cooling mechanisms (unless you overclock).
