Asked him the same question a while back.
He said he'll do it when he's ready to upgrade, because he'd need to buy a new mobo and cpu so it's quite the investment.

hmm, idk, 82 is a bit high for a non blower card, especially for a rog strix card, the reviewers measured that card around 66-72°C max.
what % are your gpu fans running on? do you have custom fan profile on your gpu? what happens if you take the side panel off?

and it is usually around 65-75, and beside outside temp it could be that it is probably that i am to lazy to clean it properly.
i dont use custom profile for fans and i didnt cheek they speed also i dont take side panel off, i could cheek all thos, but not today as i am trying whole day to install xp on my old pc thry bootable usb

Imo that's way too hot for pascal it needs to be kept under 80C/70C. Besides for a 1080/1080ti you really need a 1440p 144Hz or a 4K 60Hz to make the best use of that card my GPU never exceeeds 65C sure it's an ROG STRIX but so is also his (well adv version not OC but still) that card should never go above 70C

Yep, something's off there… Plus he is loosing boost clock bins due to the high temp. 13 mhz at every 5°C iirc.

I imagine its the case. my case for example sucked with the stock fans and it kept my rx 480 at 80C+( until i bought 2x 140mm fans and mounted them on top for exhaust it lowered all my temps by 10-20C. I loved the way this case looks and still do but im never buying another case with a closed front panel again.

Even my 1080ti will go up to 80C if i remove those 2x 140mm fans. Granted i have 3x exhaust fans now but still my temps are much lower than default config. Although removing the front panel drops another 5-8C but its not worth it cause my PC gets really dusty then so this config works fine and the 1080ti never goes 65C
