For me its different. E8 at lowest settings with my gimped RX 560 i was getting 12-13FPS unstable.
With E9 at lowest settings i was getting all the way up to 20 FPS stable.

Oh btw does my 6700k 4.6ghz and 16gb 3000mhz really affect performance that much in minecraft? Because im getting above 60fps with sildurs extreme with both volumeric lightning on and off.

yup. its not even completely because of his improvements but also because of the current optifine version that uses something called "instancing" instead of geometry shaders. So less computing for the shaders.
